Niche Productions is proud to present for the first time in eight and half years, the return of Madlib to Australian shores!

Madlib's production talents are unrivalled; there is no genre of music he hasn't touched successfully. Be it his Jazz fondlings for Blue Note or with his own fictious group Yesterdays New Quintet, his Latin album Jackson Conti, Hip Hop production for and as part of Madvillain, Lootpack, Jaylib, Mos Def, Ghostface Killah, Talib Kweli, Alkaholiks, De La Soul, Guilty Simpson, Strong Arm Steady, Blu and most recently Freddie Gibbs as well as Broken Beat (DJ Rels), Soul (Erykah Badu, Dudley Perkins and Gerogia Anne Muldrow) and everything else in between, Madlib has always lead the pack. His DJ sets are known for taking in all of these influences and more and reflect his most recent output, some thirteen original albums and DJ mixes under the header Madlib Medicine Show. He returns to Australia with long time colleagues and friends J Rocc and Egon.

J Rocc, the original party rocker is no stranger to Australia, having toured here a few times across the years representing The World Famous Beat Junkies (who are celebrating their 20th Anniversary this year). His 2011 album Some Cold Rock Stuf was released on Stones Throw in a number of formats and since then, he's lent his hand to a number of powerful edits and remixes across a plethora of genres, most recently seen in the Minimal Wave edits, which demonstrate his ability to make anything funky and dancefloor friendly both on the decks and behind the boards. Look out for new material from him with labelmate MED soon.

Egon is a name synonymous with the entire operation, helping build the scene from behind the scenes as general manager for Stones Throw in its pivotal years and creating his own incredible label Now-Again in the process, releasing exotic and hella funky contemporary artist LPs from the likes of Heliocentrics, Breakestra, Natural Yoghurt Band, Whitefield Brothers, Paul White and Seu Jorge as well as reissues like LA Carnival, Amnesty, Ebony Rhtyhm Band and many many more.

Blazing across Australia in October, do not miss the Madlib Medicine Show as it hits your town for one night only, featuring three of the world's hottest freestyle DJs playing across the spectrum of the last sixty years of killer music and of course, all the unreleased stuff you can handle. Get your tickets early as this will sell out quickly.
