Melbourne Music Week & Lost and Lonesome present Lost & Lonesome 15

In 1998, a collection of thinkers who wanted the best for Melbourne music downed a few beers together, and came to the realisation that all their friends played in bands... and all these bands were in need of a label. It was from this epiphany that independent label Lost And Lonesome was created.

Helmed by former Lucksmiths bassist, Mark Monnone, and with a special fancy for indie-pop, experimental and folk tunes, the label has championed both local and international independent artists, and can lay claim to more than 80 releases in 15 years of existence.

To celebrate their 15th birthday in true MMW style, Lost And Lonesome will be bringing a hefty 15 acts to the iconic North Melbourne Meat Market. Featured performances include the atmospheric, instrumental soundscapes of Great Earthquake, the driving synths and jangling guitar hooks of Milk Teddy, and classic indie pop by way of the label's helmsman himself, with his solo project (supported by a rag-tag of musical friends), Monnone Alone.

With highly anticipated newbies The Icypoles and Captain Coach (ex-Bank Holidays) also on the bill, this full-day fiesta will see you giddy with indie-pop goodness.
