Duke of George presents
Lightnin Jack - Alone with the Blues
A long standing feature of the WA Blues music scene, Lightnin Jack has been touring and recording since a young age, sharing his unique sound that features multiple guitars, gravelly vocals and foot percussion, and captures the essence of the country lifestyle that he loves.
A live sound that brings energy and tone far beyond the one man that sits on stage has seen him work in the studio, in support of, or alongside a list of artists that would make your head spin – The Angels, Phil Emmanuel, Roshani, Blue Shaddy, Tony Joe White, Ash Grunwald, and The Southern River Band to name a few.
Performing solo in this special, seated and intimate show, Jack will be getting back to his roots and showcasing his extensive catalogue of songs, with the authenticity that he is known and loved for. Ranging from evocative instrumental pieces to driving, percussive blues rock boogies and the occasional gunslinger ballad - Jack’s music will take you on a journey through the South West, delivered with his no fuss and few words manner that audiences have come to love.
Stripped back and solo, this will be a show to remember and an opportunity to see Jack up close and personal before shows with his full band later this year to celebrate the release of his fourth studio album.
