With a rhythm section born in West Africa, Keyim Ba fuses reggae, funk & rap with African traditional music.

Boasting an all star cast, including renown percussionists Sibo Bangoura (Guinea) and Yacou Mbaye (Senegal), Keyim Ba’s unique sounds of beautiful traditional melodies set to funky baselines & beats, always fill the dancefloor. Heralded ‘an Afro-Australian treasure’, their debut album ‘Mami Wata’ toured nationally following its release. 

The Djembe powerhouse and Kora player, Sibo Bangoura (Guinea), is joined by celebrated Senegalese percussionist Yacou MBaye (Senegal) on Talking Drum, Sabar & Congas; Jon Pease on lead guitar and Tina Harris on bass. Joined also by well known Sydney musician Blair Greenberg on guitar, Calvin Welsh on drum kit and the captivating vocals of powerful soul singer Paula Baxter with Rachel Bangoura on the dancefloor completing the picture.
