Get ready to immerse yourself in a kaleidoscope of sonic marvels as Moor Music and Northcote Theatre proudly present Kalopsia Vol 1.5, a two stage 13-hour event that transcends boundaries and ignites the senses. Join us for the new date Jan 20th for an extraordinary experience that blends live music, vibrant DJs, delectable food vendors, captivating lighting and visuals, and art installations.

Kalopsia is a collaboration between Moor Music and Northcote Theatre aimed at uplifting and celebrating our beloved music community in an accessible and awe-inspiring way. Showcasing genres ranging from future jazz, neo-soul, jazz fusion, funk, progressive rock, disco, house, broken beat, and much more for this the rescheduled summer edition of Kalopsia. 

As the day turns to night, our handpicked DJs take to the mezzanine, to set the tone for evening ahead. Kicking things off we welcome the infectious energy and grooves of our beloved Lilian, followed with the sultry sounds of Poli Pearl and Mothafunk, their eclectic selections a testament to the vibrant tapestry of our music community. And of course, we have the incomparable Chris Gill from Northside Records, the lord of funk himself, gracing the decks on the main stage and guiding you through this journey of sonic bliss in between band sets throughout the night. Alongside the cheeky and infectious duo Hausm8s as the night progresses.

As the main stage unveils, prepare to be captivated by an unrivaled lineup of musical virtuosos that defy categorisation. Enter the ethereal realms of Psychobabel and Malla, where their genre-defying melodies transport you to dimensions unknown. Witness the madness of Uncomfortable Science, featuring the extraordinary talents of Hiatus Kaiyote, Barney McAll, and Alon Islar, as they weave intricate sonic tapestries that leave you spellbound. Brace yourself for the explosive energy of Sex on Toast, an unforgettable performance that will set your soul ablaze.

But the journey doesn't end there. Let the enigmatic beats of Alexander Flood sweep you off your feet, a sonic maestro who conjures symphonies that defy convention. And headlining doozy we are beyond excited to welcome to the stage for the first time the 20 piece funk and soul party lords the Regime to give a lesson in boogie, a band that takes no prisoners and promotes only the best vibes.  

As Kalopsia comes to a close, we have summoned our dear friend and lord on the air waves Milo Eastwood (pbs Breakfast) to perform the 2.5-hour closing DJ set in the mezzanine, giving this event the final nudge it deserves. 

Remaining tickets to Kalopsia are available via Moshtix ranging from $35 - $50. Less than 50% of tickets remain for the original date, so get in quick to secure your new spot for our summer installation of Kalopsia. 

Ticket Holders note for original date:  All ticket holders, your tickets are still valid for the new date, so hold onto them if you can make the new show. If you cannot attend, check your emails, there will be an option for refund. ❤️
