Kala Gare (KG) is a Naarm/Melbourne-based powerhouse making her mark across both the music and musical theatre scenes. Best known for taking on stages nationwide as Anne Boleyn in SIX: The Musical and most recently Sybylla in Melbourne Theatre Company's My Brilliant Career, Kala now returns to the music scene with her EP rearing to go — raw, radiant, and unapologetically real.

Blending pop, indie folk, and some hints of gospel/blues, her music explores queerness, identity, and the beautiful human mess of self-acceptance. After a stunning original debut at the Paris Cat Jazz Club and multiple sold-out shows across Sydney and Melbourne, Kala has proven she’s one of Australia’s most magnetic rising stars.
