Adding to already announced Groovin The Moo festival appearances, LA native K.FLAY today reveals that she will play four headline dates on her debut Australian visit.

The rapper-producer will take in Brisbane's Woolly Mammoth on Tuesday 2nd May, followed by Melbourne's Howler on Thursday 4th May, Sydney's Oxford Art Factory on Wednesday 10th May and Perth's Rosemount Hotel on Thursday 11th May. Tickets will go on sale at 9am local time, Thursday 9th February.

'Blood In The Cut', the moody and magnetic lead single from K.Flay's four-track Crush Me EP released in 2016, became a triple j staple and garnered the artist a legion of fans around the country, making an appearance just outside of the top 100 on triple j's Hottest 101-200 countdown last month.

The first signing to Night Street/Interscope Records (an imprint helmed by Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds), K.Flay instils endless energy into a batch of songs highlighting her seamless flow and head-turning lyricism. But while Crush Me builds off K.Flay's hip-hop background, the EP also channels her punk sensibilities and DIY spirit into a lush but gritty sound rooted in live drums and guitar.

The brand new single 'Black Wave' premiered on triple j's Good Nights last week, with the sophomore album, Every Where Is Some Where, due for release on April 7. 'Black Wave' is "about facing something immense and menacing and choosing not to cower, but to rise up," K.Flay says in a statement that also sheds light on the album's title.

On stage, K.Flay injects vocal spitfire into rhythmic rock beats, delivering cool flawless hip-hop with slight abrasion. "My live shows always had the spontaneity that comes from working with more organic instrumentation...", she says.

Over the past five years, K.Flay has cut her teeth on-stage with the likes of Passion Pit, Icona Pop, Awolnation and Theophilus London. She lands in Australia fresh from an extensive run of North American dates, including a night at New York's famous Bowery Ballroom, and this is likely to be the last time she'll play such intimate rooms.
