Following a revelationary festival season, massive US and European tour and playing to a sold-out London Forum just days ago, IDLES are in good stead to make their Australian debut. Armed with their critically acclaimed sophomore release "Joy As An Act Of Resistance", a record that champions vulnerability, openness and community, matches their quirky on stage charisma filled with deeply important and emotionally moving moments and ridiculous antics including dancing, hugs and many laugh-out-loud moments.

"Joy As An Act Of Resistance" debuted at an impressive #5 in the UK and was equally well received here in Australia amongst tastemakers - the album was feature album on Double J, and also key community radio stations FBi (Sydney), 6RTR (Perth) and Edge Radio (Tasmania).

Stripping back the sound on their second album, IDLES bare flesh with songs and lyrics that channel a message seeking to simply allow one another more space to breathe and celebrate differences - using these songs to act as an ode to communities and the individuals that forge them.

Having been through a tough year for more reasons than being able to count, frontman Joe Talbot denounces the pain across the show - sweating, singing and dancing out these frustrations to their most empathetic music being made right now, as well as creating an atmosphere within the audience to genuinely feel part of an important musical community. These east coast headline shows will be a moment that will live long in the memory for all those who dare to join.
