IAN MOSS
2017 TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED
FEATURING SONGS FROM 'MATCHBOOK' + HIS CLASSICS
Awarded 'Album Of The Year' at the 1990 ARIA Awards and going on to win a total of 5 ARIA Awards that night is one thing, but one could easily be forgiven for thinking 'Matchbook' was the Greatest Hits album of the legendary Ian Moss!
'Tuckers Daughter', 'Telephone Booth', 'Beautiful Thing', 'Out of the Fire', and 'Mr Rain' all feature on the 1989 solo debut album from the enigmatic Cold Chisel guitarist and singer.
Produced by Chris Lord-Alge and released in August 1989, Matchbook spent three consecutive weeks at #1, staying in the Top 10 for a staggering 14 weeks and went on to sell in excess of Double Platinum. The DVD of the Matchbook Concert Tour went Gold on the day of release
This landmark album included songs penned not only by Mossy, but also by Chisel bandmate Don Walker and included Steve Prestwich on drums along with a who's who of Australian musicians.
Widely respected as one of Australia's iconic musicians, on 'Matchbook' Ian Moss delivered an unforgettable sound - not only as a telling soloist on guitar but especially with his silken voice, ringing with clarity and resonating with pure soul.
'Matchbook' has stood the test of time, and Ian Moss is going to pay his respects to his first born in 2017 as he takes to the highways of Australia to perform songs from this legendary album as well as his classics, performed as only Ian Moss can.
