Great Northern Darwin Cup Carnival 2024
The Territory’s biggest social and sporting event sees over 40,000 racegoers in attendance each year for all the colour, fashion and excitement of thoroughbred racing in the Top End, culminating in the Great Northern Darwin Cup on Monday August 5, 2024.
The Carnival Pass gives you General Admission access for all 8 days of carnival, including bet365 Palmerston Sprint Day and Great Northern Darwin Cup Day.
The Darwin Guineas is an iconic start to the month-long Great Northern Darwin Cup Carnival and features the 1st leg of the $50,000 Darwin Double for 3yo’s.
A Day for the family, the AUFS Chief Minister’s Cup Day is popular for all ages with activities like face painting, jumping castles and more.
One of the most beloved days of the carnival, with SILK Laser Clinics Fashions on the Field and an array of hospitality options around the course to suit any taste.

Day 5 provides the last opportunity for Cup hopefuls to make the field for the big one on the final day of the Carnival. The TAB Metric Mile ran over 1600m event is one of 7 top-quality races that day.
On the track, it’s all about the sprinters, vying for the Corporate Race Cup over 1300m. Off the Track, it’s the time to impress. The leading figures in NT business can all be found track-side.

bet365 Palmerston Sprint Day kicks off the biggest long weekend in the Top End, with the Territory’s premier sprint race, the $135,000 bet365 Palmerston Sprint, featuring the Territory’s fastest horses looking to hold out interstate raiders for supreme honours.
Enjoy the dry season at its finest, and wine and dine under the stars to five-star entertainment all night. Tickets include a beverage package and buffet dinner.
