CANCELLED due to COVID Guns for hire Goons are proud to launch their 2021 campaign at the PBC with “Summer Lover”, a funk-rock fuelled excursion of love & lust.

From the Inner West of Sydney come Goons - weaving their way through infectious anthemic rock sustained by raw vocals and high-flying guitar lines whilst brandishing a unique style laced with the delinquent undertone of their appellation.

Drawing sonic influence from rock juggernauts like Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and the primal energy of early Strokes and Bloc Party, Goons come with the ambitious goal of pumping new life into an old heart.

Bursting onto the scene in late-2019, Goons have already made the stage their own by notching up shows at staple venues of the live music circuit such as the Marlborough Hotel and the Chippendale Hotel, whilst also managing to sneak in their first festival appearance at Nadgi Nadgi in the Southern Tablelands. 2020 saw the release of their debut singles “Homerun” and "Bella", with 2021 and their latest singe “Summer Lover” now shaping up as a breakout year for the rising 5-piece.

Hailing from the north western suburbs of Sydney, indie rock band Space Plants have emerged, hitting the scene with their debut single ‘ LSD Chimpanzee’ in December of laty year.

Influenced by the likes of Arctic Monkey, Kid Cudi and The Gorillaz, Space Plants use their awkward brand of music and humour to create unique songs that stick with you.

After playing together for years under different iterations, they've solidified as Space Plants with big plans for 2021 with more gigs and new tunes coming real soon.

This is a Covid-safe show.  Pre-sale tickets only. No walk-ups.

Under 18s are welcome at the Petersham Bowling Club but must be accompanied by an adult.
