Event Details

One of Narrm’s (Melbourne) most enigmatic and staunchly authentic acts, Emma Volard launches her lead single ‘My Desire’, Thursday May 12th at The Night Cat.

Presented by The Operatives Records (AU) supported by:

-Empress

-Proto Moro

-Rhys Newling // projections

Entrenched in lavish harmonies, broken-beats and gut-wrenching lyricism, Emma Volard’s music has garnered attention from national and international tastemakers

Dark and motorik, sinister and plush, ‘My Desire’, epitomises all-consuming lust, and is the lead single of her debut album ‘Deity’, due for release June 10th 2022.

From Emma’s sophomore solo release in 2019’s neo-soul jam “Arachne (Feat Pascal)” to her hard-hitting feminist anthem “Femininity”, her music has continued to evolve to greater heights landing her festivals including Meadow, New Years Eve on the Hill and Brunswick Music Festival, whilst performing on stages including The Forum and Max Watts and capturing accolades such as being shortlisted for ‘BEST SOUL RNB FUNK GOSPEL ACT’ in Music Victoria’s Music Industry Award

2021.

Her live show captures a raw and organic energy that has marked her as “one of Melbourne’s (dare I say… Australia’s?) tightest and most electrifying acts” (Trouble Juice).

Do not miss the chance to see Emma Volard’s all-star band, Jordan Pereira, Jake Amy, Noah Hutchinson, Tom Edwards, Harry Leggatt and some special guests!
