CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF ‘WHERE YOU BEEN’
2ND SHOW

US alternative rock pioneers Dinosaur Jr. today announce they have added a Melbourne show to their highly-anticipated headline tour of Australia & New Zealand next February and March 2024.

Heading to Australia celebrating 30 years of their iconic album Where You Been, Dinosaur Jr. will now kick off the tour at Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Friday 16 February, before heading to Sydney on Wednesday 21 February for a show at Enmore Theatre, The Tivoli in Brisbane on Friday 23 February then Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall for a performance on Monday 26 February and Perth’s Astor Theatre on Wednesday 28 February. The band will finish off the tour in Auckland for a final show at Auckland Town Hall on Saturday 2 March.   

J Mascis will also perform solo shows in Sydney on Tuesday 20 February at Liberty Hall and in Brisbane on Saturday 24 February at The Triffid.

Dinosaur Jr. will be joined by Australian band Stepmother on all Australian dates and Auckland-based trio Office Dog for the Auckland show.

Frontier Member presale for Dinosaur Jr’s newly-added Melbourne show begins Tuesday 23 January, 12pm local time before the general on sale, Wednesday 24 January, 1pm local time. 

Last in Australia in 2017, performing shows across the country, with a reputation as one of the formative influences on American alternative rock, Dinosaur Jr. - J Mascis (guitar, vocals, primary songwriter), Lou Barlow (bass, vocals), and Murph (drums) – are ready to bring the classics down under. With over 14 albums to date and more than 30 years performing live on stage as a band, Dinosaur Jr are bringing their best live set to date to Australia & New Zealand.
