Cool Explosions are a brand new electronic pop 3-piece from Melbourne. Fronted by the soul drenched stylings of electrifying new vocalist Elle Young, the group features Matty Vehl (keyboardist with Bombay Royale) on programming & synths, and the cartwheeling jazz-fire drumming of newcomer Alex Roper.
With a sound that plunges headlong into the frontiers of electronic pop futurism, the debut single 'Cold Fire' is a woozy RnB excursion that nods to a golden age of 80's cold wave, administering rushes of autobahn arcadia & sample driven soul, to arrive at a grinding, uncompromising new Ultra-Pop.
The band will be bringing the Melbourne leg of their debut single Launch Party Tour to Boney on Thurs 20 April.
