40 Up on Fire is a brand new burlesque competition aimed at showcasing some of the best burlesque performers aged 40 and over in a fun, inclusive and supportive environment. Each artist will take to the stage to present their talent to our avid audience and judges.

The goal of 40 Up on Fire is to provide a unique platform to those in the burlesque community who bring together a wealth of experience to life and the stage. Our performers are celebrated not only for their age but for their talent, creativity, confidence, dedication to the arts and ability to thrive in all the complexities of stage life.

Come along and support our amazing artists as they strive to win that sash or just to have a good time!!

40 Up On Fire Burlesque Competition is the love child of Cherry Daiquiri Productions. Established in 2023. It is about celebrating burlesque and cabaret performers over the wonderful age of 40 by providing a safe space to celebrate their art. The competition is to shine a light on artists who can present their style of burlesque to our audience.

Created by burlesque star, production manager/director Dolores Daiquiri and burlesque artist and director Cherry Velour (Cherry Daiquiri Productions). Come and see this amazing event that is about diversity, celebration and honouring burlesque artists over 40 who carry an immense amount of stage experience in this new and special event.

TICKETING INFO

Please have a digital or printed copy of your ticket ready on arrival along with a valid photo ID. Acceptable ID includes a current and valid Australian Photo Drivers Licence, State Approved ‘Proof of Age’ card or Passport.
