It’s been three years since Canadian indie rock trio, Born Ruffians, graced our shores, and we can now proudly confirm they’ll be bringing their infectious live show back to Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club on Monday 30th December and Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on Friday 3rd January.
On their third tour of Australia, Born Ruffians are now touring as a four-piece, bringing with them new material from their April 2013 release, Birthmarks, which Pitchfork has called "their most refined release to date." Recorded in Toronto's BoomBox Studios, the deeply personal Birthmarks saw the three-piece cultivate a more polished sound, whilst not departing from the rawness that originally defined them.
Featuring Luke LaLonde (vocals/guitar), Mitch DeRosier (bass/vocals), Andy Lloyd (guitar/keys) and Adam Hindle (drums), Born Ruffians make a whole lot of noise, touting a jaunty mix of howling vocals, jagged guitar, punching bass and infectious drum beats.
