Having spent the last 9 weeks touring North America and Europe, Sydney's Big White are today excited to announce their Australian tour in support of their debut album Teenage Dreams, out now via Caroline Australia. The band will be hitting up locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Ballarat and Stanwell Park, and will be showcasing songs from their highly acclaimed debut record.

Big White touched down in Sydney last week after completing over 40 shows across the northern hemisphere. This included performances at SXSW, Treefort Festival (Methyl Ethel / Thee Oh Sees), and 11 dates back to back in New York City. To help fund the tour the band threw a house party which had over 400 people turn up.

Whilst overseas the band also found time to bunker down in various recordings studios in Los Angeles, New York and Berlin to start working on their next release.

The members of Big White first met and started making music together by chance when they moved into a large Italianate Art Deco sharehouse in the inner west of Sydney. The house has an eclectic past having served as a surgery, a brothel, and a boarding home, but is now home to five musicians in their early 20s.

Much like the members of the band themselves, Big White's music is diverse in both influence and style. Touching on British New Wave sounds with Australian jangle pop sensibilities, this is best filed next to The Cure, Dick Diver, and Talking Heads.
