We're keeping the blues alive at Leadbelly with our new monthly night, Belly Blues. Featuring fresh local artists each month and with cheeky food & drink specials, Belly Blues is your one stop shop for good vibes and great tunes. Entry costs less than a beer, so come down and let us heat up your Wednesday.

Our first instalment features blues veteran Isaiah B Brunt and his band, bringing their unique Voodoo Blues & Roots flavour to kick things off on Wednesday, 8th of August.

Isaiah B Brunt's first album releases were initially acoustic recordings, they were followed up in 2015 and then 2016 with recordings done in the USA at the Jazzology label studios in New Orleans.

This show consists of both acoustic renditions and electric versions of those recordings including some very unique arrangements of some well-known standards and new original material.

Trio is made up with:
Bassist Mark Hornibrook a seasoned performer who has worked with Blues Diva Sally King, Queen of Country music Anne Kirkpatrick and the infallible Jazz Icon Billy Field. Drummer & Percussionist D Bruce Aitken spent some time in Canada performing with award winning and Internationally Renowned Canadian Blues artist's such as John Campbell, John, Fred Eaglesmith and Matt Minglewood.
