Alex The Astronaut announces See You Soon EP Launches

Alex the Astronaut has packed a lot of life into her 22 years. Never more so than in 2017 since the March release of her debut EP, To Whom it May Concern.

Alex The Astronaut's new song, Not Worth Hiding, introduces a subtle change of course. It's the first taste of her forthcoming EP See You Soon and arrives
embedded with the young songwriters already signature stream-of-consciousness lyrics. Only this time Not Worth Hiding reflects a little more of its author. "This should be in
your own voice / in your own time" she sings.

That's a natural progression for Alex, who studies maths and physics when not writing music. As a scientist might, she sees the link between the two disciplines.

"I like how science can help you explain the universe using bits of information that on their own wouldn't mean anything," she says. "You take data points and put them
into a useful context. That helps both you and other people understand something, about earth or the space around us that can help us improve our daily lives."

Alex says music is similar. "You use little lines written about random events, conversations or newspaper headlines, and eventually
build them up into a song other people can relate to," she says. "And just like science, sometimes people will find what you write helpful and sometimes they won't.
That's the fun of them both - to look at what you think is important and present it to other people in a way they can understand why it means so much to you."
