With the USA going nuts, Fred Smith returns from the dust of Uruzgan to revisit his fascination for things American. This new CD, Great, features some high-level piss taking befitting the subject matter. But it also brings to the fore Smith's deep appreciation of Americana musical formats, and his fascination with American history, songcraft and stories.

Fred will be accompanied by an all-star band including Liz Frencham on double bass, Carl Pannuzzo on drums and piano, and two or three other Melbourne sidemen.
