Melbourne indie-noir crooners Broads (Kelly Day and Jane Hendry) are launching their debut album VACANCY on April 1 at The Toff in Town. Expanding the outfit to a six piece band, the album sees Broads steering their originally acoustic duo into a space that is positively cinematic in its depth.
Anticipated by the single "Nod Off, Dream", released in November 2016, VACANCY dives through the veneer of everyday fantasies to explore the space beneath - sometimes with dry wit, often with worldly pathos. TheMusic.com.au described the album as "a simply gorgeous, often haunting, always sublime inaugural full-length outing". In the lead up to the album's release, VACANCY was featured album of the week on both Triple RRR and PBS FM.
