Atlanta-bred folk hip-hop prodigy Raury today reveals that he will play two intimate headline shows next month; Raury will hit the stage at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Tuesday 16th February and Melbourne’s Howler on Saturday 20th February. Tickets will go on sale at 9am local time tomorrow.

In the country as a special guest on A$AP Rocky's national tour, the self-proclaimed 'Indigo Child' returns to Australian shores almost exactly a year after his debut live appearances, which saw him play to revellers at 2015's travelling Laneway Festival.

Since his last Australian visit, Raury has appeared on US television shows The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and more recently The Late Late Show with James Corden, graced the stages of some of the world's premier music festivals including Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Sasquatch and Melt! Festival, sold out headline shows across North America, and featured in publications like Billboard, The New York Times, and Paper Magazine. Raury's vibrant on-stage charisma has seen him perform with the likes of Childish Gambino, Kid Cudi, Outkast, Kanye and more; He will tour extensively with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis in 2016, and counts Lorde among his many admirers.

Set to turn up the heat for Raury on both Sydney and Melbourne dates is young local producer-vocalist JOY. JOY's anticipated self-produced debut EP 'Ode' was released in August last year, and features the triple j staple 'About Us'. She's lent her sultry vocals to Peking Duk's 'Like A Version', shared the stage with fellow rising stars Tkay Maidza, George Maple and Dustin Tebbutt, supported Miama Horror on a broad national tour, and sold out her own headline shows last year.

19 year-old Raury considers himself a product of the internet age; part of a generation of adolescents who gain understanding of life's opportunities and challenges through their endless access to information. This mature viewpoint captivated fans and critics alike on the debut mixtape 'Indigo Child', released in late-2014 and establishing the young artist as a unique and confident new talent, expertly straddling folk, hip-hop, rock, indie, soul and more. The follow-up is 'All We Need', the anticipated debut studio album which was released in October last year to widespread acclaim and has been described as an LP "full of confidently expressed delicateness" by The New York Times. It's a seamless blend of acoustic RnB, indie-rock, casual beats and rap bursts, wandering in and out of folk territory. The Line Of Best Fit says, "It's a win for music that artists like Raury exist. He's an undeniable talent..."

Current single 'Friends' sees Raury team up with iconic Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello in a cruisy soulful alternative-rock jam. Watch the video here.

Raury is without doubt one of the most exciting new artists to emerge from the US in recent years, with music fans, critics and industry all eagerly anticipating the next chapter in this young artist's burgeoning career. These will likely be the most intimate shows that Raury will play in Australia for many years to come, don't miss your chance to be there.
