Venue Details

Since 1993, when the Tonkin family took over, The Gov has established itself as Adelaide's leading live music venue and is highly regarded upon by musicians and music-lovers alike, Winners of the 2012 National AHA Award for Best Entertainment Venue.

Facilities

The Gov has it’s own car park on Gibson Street, just over the train line.There is also a car park next to the venue, you can park along Port Road and in the parking lot across the road is free of charge when there's no Entertainment Centre show on.

Accessibility Info

The tramline stops right in front of the hotel. It is free from the CBD and runs every 15 minutes. The tram runs from Glenelg, through the heart of the city the end of the line is Port Road. You can catch a 151, 152, 153 or 155 bus from North Terrace in the city and get off at the Entertainment Centre. The Gov is about a $10 cab fare from the city and a short trip on a bicycle. The scenic route along the River Torrens is quite lovely. The Gov is fully accessible to wheelchairs. Please call us on 8340 0744 to discuss any special requirements.
