WOMADelaide Is Celebrating Its 20th Festival With A Heap Of Exciting Artists From Around The World!
Adelaide, your plans for next weekend are SET. We know you've been looking for something fun for the whole family, and here it is. WOMADelaide celebrates its 20th festival this year by bringing talent from around the globe! More than 30 countries are represented across 7 stages in this incredible showcase, taking place March 11-14.
The final artist announcement for the 2016 festival doesn't fail to bring the diversity, boasting Grammy Award-winning US hip-hop trio De La Soul, the first Indian artist to be nominated for a Grammy Award Asha Bhosle, ARIA-Award winning Australian artists Sarah Blasko and Alpine, 2015 Mercury prize nominee Eska from the UK, and the a capella choir of the APY (Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara) Lands.
They join previously announced artists pioneer of 'The French Touch' sound St. Germain, as well as Angélique Kidjo performing an Australian exclusive show with a 68-piece Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, the American singer-songwriter John Grant, and the politically-charged Asian Dub Foundation.
