Watch A Fairytale Unfold At The Sydney Ice Dogs Season Opener This Saturday!
Holy h-e-double-hockey-sticks! The Sydney Ice Dogs are back in business for 2016 and are the team to watch for this Australian Ice Hockey League season as they try to go from wooden spoon to cup contenders.
With a beefed up roster including 5 Australian National Team players, ex-Ice Dogs, and an NHL draft pick, on top of adding Australian goaltender Charlie Smart and being led by ex-National team coach Vlad Rubes, the Ice Dogs are on a quest for a fairytale season.
General manager Jason Juba said, "This could be a Cinderella season. Time will tell. One thing is for sure though, the team we have built is tough and will be very competitive."
It all starts this Saturday April 30th when the Sydney Ice Dogs take on the Melbourne Ice at the LCC Sports complex in Liverpool. Puck drops at 5pm.
