Watch a drunk Dave Mustaine stumble onstage during a 1988 Guns N’ Roses concert
Guns N’ Roses shows in the late 80s truly embodied the spirit of rock n roll, onstage and off. From the fans in the crowd losing their minds to the swigs of Jack Daniels that would’ve spilt at every turn, everything about a Gunners show would’ve screamed debauchery and excess.
Now, proof that the party never ended whenever the Gunners were in town has been further solidified, with footage of an inebriated Dave Mustaine stumbling onstage with the band. The Facebook page ‘Appetite For Guns N’ f’n Roses’ uploaded footage of the Megadeth frontman aimlessly wondering onstage during the band’s performance of ‘Knockin’ On Heavens Door’.
Mustaine doesn’t quite get up onstage for a guest vocal slot, nor is he welcomed by the crowd – the video shows he’s pretty much immediately escorted offstage by security.
If you skip ahead to the 0:28 mark of the video, you’ll spot Mustaine creep up behind Axl, only to be dragged off stage, going mostly unnoticed by the rest of the band.

Earlier this week, a previously unreleased video for the Guns N’ Roses track ‘It’s So Easy’ was revealed, originally recorded in 1989 at a sleazy Sunset Strip venue named The Cathouse.
