Vampire Weekend debut new song, share the stage with Amandla Stenberg
Can you believe it’s been five years since Vampire Weekend released Modern Vampires of The City? It feels like only yesterday when I was ordering the record off Urban Outfitters alongside a baby blue Crosley record player.
Our favourite twee princes have performed their first shows in four years. The first show saw them perform their debut self-titled album in full. The second saw them treating us to a taste of their upcoming album. ‘Flower Moon’ is the first new material we’ve heard from the band since Modern Vampires of The City; it was written with Steve Lacy of The Internet. That’s not all! The band also brought out a very special guest star for their track ‘I Think Ur A Contra’. Amandla Stenberg (who you may recognise as Rue from The Hunger Games) helped the band out by playing violin for the track. We can’t handle the wholesomeness.
