The Maine are throwing a funeral for their album ‘Lovely Little Lonely’
Emo’s favourite band The Maine are at it again with their theatrics, announcing one final show for the Lovely Little Lonely album cycle, as well as a new music video. The video for Lonely is as artistic, peaceful and pensive as the song itself. It’s a lovely (excuse the pun) way to end such an impactful cycle, for both the band and fans. The release also came with a poem, reading;
“Lovely Little Lonely is dead.
The roses have all wilted,
And in rolls the gloom
Only to bloom again soon.”
Their final goodbyes were announced online through a series of tweets, the graphics reading : “This show will be a red out. Support a band called the Maine by dressing in red”, followed by: “Bring a (fake) red rose to the show. All roses will be placed on stage as we say or goodbyes to ‘Lovely Little Lonely.’”
