Stored A&R executive and music manager Scott Maclachlan has joined Warner Music Australasia as SVP of A&R.

Maclachlan spent two decades working in the UK music industry before relocating to New Zealand in 2008 to work in A&R at Universal Music New Zealand. It was here that he discovered a thirteen-year-old Lorde and signed her to a development deal – which really worked out well for her!

“I’m stoked to be joining Niko [Nordström] and the team at Warner Music Australasia”, Maclachlan says. “The global streaming-driven music market creates amazing opportunities to break great artists from Australia and New Zealand around the world and that’s something I’m committed to doing over the coming years.”
