The best places for a boozy brunch in Sydney

In case you missed it, the latest day-drinking trend is a boozy brunch. It’s where you go out with friends and have brunch but also drink a lot. So it’s kinda like a more instagrammable version of just day drinking at the pub or wherever.

What constitutes a “boozy brunch”?

A boozy brunch is simple as long as you ignore the fact that brunch itself is a very loose concept. Add any form of alcohol to that and you have a boozy brunch. Typically the alcohol will be offered in the form of bottomless mimosas, bellinis, champagne, bloody marys, or even maybe Aperol spritz for a set time.

The range of opportunities for your day drinking escapades is incredible in Sydney. There are places that offer bottomless mimosas from $19, to a $299 per person champagne brunch at Saké once a month complete with bottomless Dom Perignon. LUSH!

Obviously with all this choice, it can be hard to find the perfect spot for your group to get the gram. This is why I have researched thoroughly and found the best options for anyone anywhere in Sydney.

Saké – Double Bay, The Rocks

This is one for the more bougie brunchers out there, the cheapest option is going to set you back $174 per person. However that does include a set menu of food and 2 hours of bottomless Veuve Clicquot. If you want the best stuff, expect to be forking out an extra $200 on top of that. Saké also offers the brunch at their Melbourne and Brisbane restaurants.

Puntino Trattoria – Darlinghurst

Every Sunday at Puntino Trattoria is Drag Brunch. That’s right, it’s brunch but with drag queens and bingo! For $60 you get 2 hours of bottomless brunch, various bottomless drinks and a game of bingo. Sounds like an ideal time for all!

The House Dining – Newtown

For a more chill brunch vibe, you can’t go past The House Dining. For $25pp you get 2 hours of bottomless mimosas (grapefruit, orange, mango, or pineapple). With a  dog friendly smoking courtyard the gram opportunities will be aplenty.

El Camino Cantina – The Rocks

One of the most affordable options, this tex-mex brunch includes free sombreros in their $19 deal for an hour of bottomless drinks. The brunch menu sounds lush as well.

Dead Ringer – Surry Hills

This Surry Hills bar and eatery offers a menu of food that’s a little different to your normal cafe. They also have bottomless mimosas! $30 gets you an hour and a half of mimosas, and there’s a bunch of other boozy options on the menu to enjoy.

Altitude – Shangri-La – The Rocks

If you want brunch with a view, Altitude at The Shangri-La is the only option you should consider. Now open on weekends, you can get amongst bottomless drinks from $75! If you want to get on the bottomless Veuve, you’ll have to fork out an additional $85. The insane views of the harbour are free though.
