2018 is going to be a huge year for Ryan Ross. After taking some time out to hibernate and ensure his creative juices are ready to be unleashed onto the world yet again, Ryan Ross has returned to the stage, once again.
Ryan took to the stage at Z Berg’s ethereal prom-themed show at the Highland Park Ebell Club on May 16. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Ross collaborated with Z Berg, a former member of the band The Like, on a gloomy music video for the track ‘I Fall For The Same Face Every Time’.
He performed a few songs by his former project the Young Veins and helped out Z Berg with vocals with her track ‘The Calm Before The Storm’.
A Reddit user by the name of missnerdfighter detailed her experience at the show, saying that Ryan confirmed he’d have new music coming this year, as he’s already got a “ton of songs” ready for release.
Here’s the entire post”
I went to the Z Berg/Ryan Ross concert on Wednesday night in Highland Park, CA. It was an amazing experience. Ryan mostly sang Z Berg’s backup, but he also performed an unreleased Young Veins song. The stage setup looked like this, and Ryan looked like this onstage. The audience seemed to be around a hundred people? The venue was also pretty intimate so everyone was quite close to the stage. Ryan dipped pretty quickly after the show was over but came back around 45 minutes later and talked to and took pictures with everyone. He seemed like such a genuinely nice guy! He also said that 2018 would be the year for new Ryan Ross music – he has a ton of songs ready for release. I’m happy to answer any other questions about the experience if anybody is interested :)”
