Regina Spektor has just announced 2018 Aussie tour dates

Russian-American pianist Regina Spektor is set to make her long-awaited return to Australia this July, when she performs a two-date Australian tour for her devoted fans.

Regina Spektor last appeared on Aussie shores back in 2012, in support of her then-recent album What We Saw from the Cheap Seats, only a year after her 2011 tour which saw her here for Splendour In The Grass.

Since then, things have been rather quiet, with Spektor releasing her latest album, Remember Us To Life, back in 2016. Needless to say though, her fans have been keen as mustard to get the critically-acclaimd indie icon back on Australian soil, and now, their collective wishes have been granted.

Announced today, Regina Spektor is set to hit up Melbourne and Sydney this October for a pair of solo shows which will see her showcase some of her greatest hits and fan favourites.

Appearing in conjunction with the National Gallery of Victoria’s MoMA at NGV Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition, Spektor is set to kick off her whirlwind Aussie visit with a performance at Melbourne’s gorgeous Hamer Hall on Sunday, July 8th, before delivering a unique in-the-round performance at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall the following night.

At this stage, there’s no word as to whether or not other Aussie cities will be lucky enough to score an appearance from Regina Spektor, but whatever the case, fans can be certain that these are set to be two unforgettable appearances from one of indie’s finest musicians.
