Queens Of The Stone Age have recently announced that they’re coming back to Australia later this year for a full headline tour in support of their latest album, Villains. But there’s good news if you’re in Melbourne or Sydney, with the band today announcing second, and final, shows for both cities.

Late last month, Queens Of The Stone Age announced plans to return to Australia this year, their first visit to the country since playing Splendour In The Grass (and a number of sideshows) in July of 2017. However, following their performance in Sydney selling out, the band have today announced new shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

Taking place on Saturday, September 1st at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion and Saturday, September 8th at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena, these are the absolute final shows being announced by the band in these cities, so it would be best to make sure you don’t miss out!

While the band are already bringing along blues maestro C.W. Stoneking as the support act for their tour, the group have today announced that Sunshine Coast punks The Chats are set to open up for them at all Aussie shows except Brisbane.

With Queens Of The Stone Age picking The Chats as their opening act, this is just another notch in the collective belts of these Queensland legends, who have spent the last year supporting acts such as DZ Deathrays and Cosmic Psychos, and have gone viral thanks to their Centrelink-inspired anthem ‘Smoko’.

Tickets to these new shows go on sale at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 9th, with the Frontier Members Pre-sale kicking off at 10am on Tuesday, May 8th.
