Parkway Drive and Middle Kids on track for high chart debuts

This week’s mid-week ARIA sales projections suggest a healthy week for Aussie artists in the charts. Which is good news, unless you HATE AUSTRALIA. You don’t… hate Australia, do you?

Parkway Drive’s Reverence is on track for a top three debut, hopefully their second consecutive #1, following 2015’s Ire. The band have enjoyed constant chart success, landing four of their five albums in the top ten (the top six if you wanna get technical).

Middle Kids’ Lost Friends should comfortably land in the top ten this week on the album’s chart – the perfect cap to an impressive run that has seen them tour with the likes of Ryan Adams and Paul Kelly. In addition, Vance Joy’s Nation Of Two will jump back into the Top 20.

Middle Kids – Mistake

On the singles chart, Post Malone will occupy all 50 spots... okay, so maybe that’s an exaggeration; a number of Aussie artists will actually occupy high spots. Troye Sivan’s ‘Bloom’ will debut comfortably inside the Top 30, while 5SOS’ new single ‘Youngblood’ will leap into the top ten.

Amy Shark’s ‘I Said Hi’ will land somewhere between #10-#15 — although her recent tour announcement, and the clip for this song dropping might bump into the top ten, while New Zealander Robinson (She’s the next Lorde: teenage wonder, working with Joel Little, poised to break America within the next 18 months; bookmark this page, congratulate me for my Nostradamus skills then, please) will slide into the top 30, with her hooky single ‘Nothing To Regret’.

The charts come out at 5pm on Saturday.
