Well, Autumn has well and truly settled in. Say goodbye to those too hot to sleep nights and Zooper Doopers by the pool. Don't worry, there's still plenty of good stuff to look forward to this season. Step into Autumn's arms with a loving embrace and check out some of the gigs happening near you this weekend as we launch into a brand new season full of great live music and entertainment.

VIC

Powerhouse singer and piano player Brian Cadd is bringing his energetic performance to Spotted Mallard tonight, injecting his own brand of humorous, age-ist anecdotal and 'sing-along-with-me' rock-n-roll into your night. 

Melbourne born, LA-based singer and producer Banoffee is performing tonight at Howler. She's become a staple in the electronic pop-music scene with her new wave, R'n'B sound, heightened with gliding synths, syncopated beats and textured vocals so you better believe this gig is going to be a good one.

Labour day is this Monday in VIC, that means it's acceptable to party on a Sunday night right? OurFriends and Riva St Kilda are putting on an epic party featuring performances by PNAU, Bar Raiders (DJ Set) and Late Night Tuff Guy. You won't wanna miss this one, that's for sure!

Astral People are hosting Australia's beloved Swedish producer and Sad Boys Affiliate Baba Stiltz. Last here for his unforgettable Boiler Room set at Sugar Mountain, Baba makes his triumphant return tonight for a special Sydney show at Civic Underground with special guests Pelvis and Lex Deluxe.

If you're up for a good LOL or why not a decent ROFL, head to Taronga Zoo's Comedy Gala this Saturday night and catch stand up performances by The Umbilical Brothers, Dave Hughes, Cal Wilson and Nick Cody.

If you don't have plans on Saturday night then head to Duke of George and catch one of Perth's most soulful singer-songwriters, Natalie Gillespie as she takes the audience on a journey many miles deep, encompassing uncompromising and emotional intelligence.

Dream on Dreamer and The Getaway Plan are playing a massive show tonight at Lion Arts Factory. Grab your mates and get your mosh on!Punk rock's greatest supergroup cover band, Me First And The Gimme Gimmes are also playing a show tonight at HQ Complex. Dust off your dancing shoes, you're in for a real treat tonight!

Ariaan Olieroock and Peter Kriek aka16 Bit Lolitas, form a solid and highly successful producer duo. They're known for their patiently crafted, sophisticated sound, produced with emotion and care. Check them out tomorrow night at Sugar from 9 pm onwards.



ACT

Melbourne hard rock outfit Twelve Foot Ninja are bringing their experimental rock to the stage at Kambri Precinct tonight. They're one of Australia's most innovative, genre-fusing heavy music bands, definitely worth a listen.
