Here’s how you can buy gear owned by Hayley Williams, Charli XCX and more for charity
Women in rock music have historically been dangerously underappreciated. Whether it’s exclusion from drum and guitar lessons in school to a lack of representation on lineups, music as a whole still has miles to go until equal opportunity for all is reached.
Now, an initiative started by Reverb is joining the fight to ensure marginalised voices in music receive the encouragement and resources needed to truly express themselves. The online vinyl marketplace has announced a partnership with a lineup of incredible female musicians, who will auction off their gear and personalised items in Girls Rock Camp Alliance (GRCA).
Girls Rock Camp Alliance (GRCA) is a nonprofit organisation that organises camps and music education programs worldwide for female, transgender, and gender non-conforming youth.
Artists like Hayley Williams, Charli XCX, Lady Gaga, Fergie and more will be auctioning off items like autographed memorabilia, guitar pedals they’ve used on stage and in the studio and microphones.
Donations open this Thursday so if you’re wanting to own a piece of your favourite artist and give to a good cause? Get bidding!
