Here is why Australia will win the 2018 FIFA World Cup

We’re merely days away from the kick-off of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. With 32 teams preparing themselves to descend upon Russia from June 14th, there is plenty of speculation as to who the winning team will be. Will Germany win the World Cup twice in a row? Or will Argentina redeem themselves after that 1-0 loss back in 2014?

Well, many folks are backing Australia as pretty big contenders in this year’s competition, including Brisbane Twitter user AJ Cadman, who has carefully put together some pretty convincing reasons as to why Australia are going to be taking home the world cup this year.

Why Australia will win the World Cup

France can’t even win a continental final on home soil. Australia can. Easy win.

Denmark. Any team with the name “Mark” in it is bound to fail. Bye Denmark.

Peru. Cocaine merchants, won’t even turn up the game. (This is a dig at the captain, not the nation of Peru.)

Nigeria. Nice kit but you’re here for Football. They’ll be too busy looking at their kit to realise that Maclaren has just scored 5 past them.

Portugal Quarter Final. One man team. Ronaldo to be injured in the 2nd minute when Jedinak headbutts him. Australia win 7-0.

Brazil. Semi-Final. Robbie Kruse makes himself a national hero by scoring all of Australia’s goals as Brazil set a new record and lose 8-1.

Australia VS Germany. World Cup Final. 90th minute and Tim Cahill can’t jump like he used to but it’s okay because he’s punched the ball past Karius. Australia go mad! Rugby League and AFL die. Everyone names their kid Timmy and he unblocks everyone on Twitter. Cahilltex stays!!
