Frances Bean Cobain’s ex-husband reckons Courtney Love tried to kill him
Courtney Love is undoubtedly a divisive figure in the world of music, but now the ex-husband of her daughter Frances Bean Cobain has accused the former Hole frontwoman of orchestrating a plot to kill him.
A couple of weeks ago, we reported on how Frances Bean Cobain was forced to give up the iconic guitar used by Kurt Cobain during Nirvana’s 1993 MTV Unplugged performance. Isaiah Silva, an American musician known for fronting The Eeries, has been battling for the guitar since mid-2016, claiming that Frances Bean gave him the instrument as a wedding present after she received it from her mother.
Understandably, this news didn’t sit well with Kurt’s former wife, Courtney Love, who explained that the guitar is “a treasured heirloom of the family…it’s not [Silva’s] to take…. We’re very close, and Frances never planned on doing that.”
Now, Silva is apparently suing Courtney Love, claiming that she allegedly tried to get the guitar back through kidnapping, burglary, and attempted murder.
As TMZ reports, Isaiah Silva claims that the incident happened in June of 2016, when Britney Spears’ former manager Sam Lutfi and two other men allegedly “burglarized, robbed, assaulted, sexually battered, kidnapped and attempted to murder him” at his home in West Hollywood.
While it’s not clear exactly what Courtney Love’s involvement in this is, Silva seems to believe that this incident was an attempt to steal Cobain’s famous guitar, and that the individuals were sent at the behest of Courtney Love.
TMZ notes that Silva is also bringing lawsuits against John Nazarian, actor Ross Butler and musician Michael Schenk because of his belief that they were all involved in the conspiracy in some manner.
Silva also claims that the aforementioned individuals impersonated police officers to gain entrance to his house before threatening him with sexual assault as a way to calm him down during the ordeal.
At this stage, Courtney Love is yet to respond to these claims, but as we said last time, this definitely won’t be the last you hear on this issue.
