If the mention of anything BBQ gets you salivating, then we have the PERFECT festival for you. The Yaks Barbecue Festival is rolling into Sydney next year after an enormous inaugural event in Melbourne in February, and will see the festival become bigger, better, and MEAT-IER in both cities next year!

The Yaks Barbecue Festival is all about meat, smoke, summer and good times! Inspired by the growing popularity of traditional southern style cuisine in Australia, the festival is modelled after the many successful American barceque festivals and will be a celebration of local produce and the great Australian tradition of summer barbeques.

Did you know there is an organisation of barbecue enthusiasts? The festival is supported by The Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) to be exact, which is the largest organisation of barbecue enthusiasts (it has over 20,000 members and 450 barbeque contests annually, WOW). 

You can bet you'll find;

– barbecue food stalls including some of Sydney/Melbourne's finest pitmasters and culinary talent;
– barbecue cooking demonstrations by local and international barbecue experts;
– equipment exhibitors showcasing the latest local and imported barbecue products on the market; and
– live entertainment and DJs.
