Friday saw the release of Kanye West’s latest album, ye. Despite all the controversy and criticism Kanye has received lately, the hip-hop artist recently took to Twitter to share an album cover generator which will allow folks to meme the hell out of his new artwork.

When ye dropped on Friday, many fans and critics were somewhat surprised at the rather minimalist style of his album artwork. Featuring nothing more than an image of a mountain range and the phrase “I hate being Bi-polar it’s awesome”, the cover has already attracted a lot of attention.

Now, after Kim Kardashian revealed that the album’s cover was actually created on the rapper’s iPhone en-route to a listening party for the new record, Kanye has shared his own ye artwork generator, which is, of course, called the ‘Yenerator’.

Simple in its design, the ‘Yenerator’ allows fans to create their own artwork by typing in their own text over the album’s main image. It’s fun for all of about 20 seconds, but let’s face it, you can still get quite a bit of enjoyment out of it.

However, on a more serious note, the album has also seen Kanye West open up about the bipolar disorder that the album cover alludes to, with the artist confirming this condition on the record’s second track, ‘Yikes’.

The record has also seen lyrics which allude to a lot of Kanye’s recent indiscretions, including his voracious support of US President Donald Trump, and an incredibly controversial interview in which he stated that he believed the slavery of African Americans to be a “choice”.

“So quick to label him as having mental health issues for just being himself when he has always been expressive is not fair,” Kim Kardashian Tweeted in response to the latter incident at the time, though as many news outlets have begun to agree, Kanye’s willingness to speak publicly about his bipolar disorder may actually be a huge step in the right direction in regards to the public stigma of mental health issues.

Here’s hoping that years down the line we’ll be able to credit Kanye West’s ye as the record that brought with it a new way of talking about mental health.
