Attention Music Lovers, WAMFest Is Happening THIS WEEK!
The noms have rolled in for the 2016 WAMAwards, and it's a HUGE one. This year Tired Lion is dominating with SIX nominations, which goes to show exactly what a massive year it's been for the grunge-tinged rockers.
Other leaders for the 2016 awards are good times jazz-rap collective Koi Child (5 noms); psych-fuelled garage post-punkers Hideous Sun Demon, Australiana rockers Verge Collection, and recently returned from Music Matters, Rag n' Bone (4). You've also got Methyl Ethel and Lucy Peach coming up with 3 noms.
Check out the full list of WAMAwards nominees, HERE. Music lovers of all tastes had their chance to decide the winners in six Public Voted awards recently - including Most Popular Live Act, Most Popular Event and Most Popular Video.
With the WAMAwards taking place THIS THURSDAY 3 November, stay tuned to find out which of your fave acts have won!
They're also throwing a killer party for the WAMAwards, with limited public tickets already sold out! It'll feature performances from Abbe May Gospel Choir, Grace Barbé, Hideous Sun Demon, Lucy Peach, Phil Walley-Stack and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, plus after party performances from Soukouss Internationale and Mei Saraswati! Ain't no party like a WAMAwards Party.
While tickets may be sold out to the awards, you can still get in on plenty of #WAMFest action. Find out more on their website!
