One of modern soul and R&B shining lights, Washington’s Allen Stone is heading to Australia this September for a one-off show at Melbourne’s Croxton Hotel. Washington to Melbourne is a long way to go -, especially for just one show. Well, it turns out wooing audiences with his incredible pipes and swagger isn’t the only thing on Stone’s mind.

Whilst in the country, Stone is set to marry his Australian fiance Taz, who’s also the focus of his much loved 2018 single ‘Brown Eyed Lover’.

Stone, the bleeding heart romantic he is, recorded his fairytale-like proposal, posting it to Facebook with the world immediately falling in love with their cherished moment. Check it out for yourself:

Stone’s last album Radius was made in collaboration with producers who had previously worked with Kanye West and Frank Ocean, covering themes such as depression, technology, heartbreak, regret and joy. ‘Brown Eyed Lover’ is set to feature on a fresh album that encapsulates Stone’s ability to blend pop, funk and soul later this year.

Stone will make his way to Melbourne’s iconic Croxton venue in late September. Tickets are on sale now.
