Although the grunge and punk label tend to dust across their name, The Dead Love transcends the
typical punk sound while taking cues from their much loved early to mid-90s musical heroes. They
transport the sound, pick it up & carry it with ease into the modern era, injecting soaring melodic
sensibility and a sense of fun into the mix. The final product, broad appeal & a sound appreciated by
90s rock aficionados and modern alternative music lovers alike.

However, it's fondly and simply labelled by the band "SHITTY GRUNGE".

Since their inception, The Dead Love's list of achievements has grown exponentially. Their two full-
length albums have garnered rave reviews across their native Australia and around the globe and

attained extensive airplay on radio stations Triple J, FBi Radio, Triple M, 3RRR FM, PBS FM and
many more.

At the same time, their blistering, no-nonsense live show has taken them across the country many
times over also to North America and seen them share stages with such Aussie and international
luminaries such as Dune Rats, Gang of Youths, Grinspoon, The Smith Street Band, Everclear (USA),
WAAX, Unwritten Law (USA,) and DZ Deathrays, to name a few, plus major festival appearances at
Party in the Paddock and Snowtunes.
Fast forward to 2018 and The Dead Love are set to release their new album. The first two single
we've heard "Sugarcoat" and "Ordinary" were both debuted by Richard Kingsmill on Triple J and
received multiple plays, which only served to broaden the bands popularity and make them certified
bangers in the live set. "Sugarcoat" also gained the support of Spotify, being added to playlists ROCK
OUT and LOCAL NOISE, and hit over 100K streams in the first month of release. Single
two, 2018's "Ordinary" also received solid Spotify support, being added to playlists New Music Friday,
Rock Out and Local Noise, cracking 7500 streams on its first day of release.

"Immediately familiar with a huge hook in the chorus, so catchy. "Sugarcoat" is a bit of a new grunge hit" - Linda Marigliano, Triple J

"When it's done right, its done right...and they've done it really well." - Richard Kingsmill, Triple J

The Dead Love's March/April national tour for "Ordinary" was met with their biggest audiences yet,
selling out their home town Sydney show before doors, and strong turn out's and sing-alongs across
the country.

Having just signed with 123 Agency, and with the excitement around the upcoming record, the future
of The Dead Love looks very clear indeed. Let's just say this "SHITTY GRUNGE" aint so shitty.
