Talking 'bout a Revolution - The Music of Tracy Chapman

Tracy Chapman’s music transcended the pop era of the 80’s to become a voice for the generations that followed.

From the political message of “Talking 'bout a Revolution” and “Fast Car”, the beautiful ballad “Baby can I hold you tonight” to the blues driven “Give me one reason”  these much loved songs have awarded Tracy Chapman 4 Grammy Awards and a place in music history.

Join Marea Paki and her 4 piece band to celebrate this amazing music.

Maera grew up in New Zealand in a family of musicians and was greatly influenced by and found many parallels to the social messages of Tracy Chapman’s music. A seasoned performer, Maera brings her own soul to these tunes.
