DOORS 7PM // KITCHEN OPEN // SHOW STARTS 8.30PM

Unfortunately HOSS have pulled out of this show due to unforesen reasons, so those summer riffs will now be provided by the Swedish Magazines.

Summer riffs and melodic garage rock action at the Brunswick Ballroom on Saturday 4th February with three incredible Melbourne acts. Headlining will be the Swedish Magazines.

Described as an “Out and out rocknroll onslaught” (Warped magazine) “A righteous tornado of party rock” (Beat Magazine) and “Rocknroll oozing in its most primal form” (Kim Salmon) the Swedish Magazines, Van & Cal Walkers extremely fast, unnecessarily loud and obscenely dirty rocknroll alternative, are back with new material and a third album on the way.

Last year saw Rubber Records release of the best of I Wish Life Could Be (4.5 Stars, Rolling Stone)

Comprising of selections from their two albums, the comp represents decades of hard work, fun, faith, and fortune.

"’Head on Ice’ is the great lost Oz rock song and one of the greatest recordings of the early 21st Century. It has all the hallmarks of classic Vanda & Young in terms of dynamics, swing and tone, but higher-energy levels. Have AC/DC recorded anything as good in the last 40 years? Maybe not.” Dave Laing, Dog Meat Records

The Double Agents are back on the live circuit after a 14 years hiatus and play one of their first official shows after a packed out warm up gig as The Carnegie Mums.

Opening will be True Sound.

True Sound are a new Melbourne band that blend their sonic moody sounds with an atmosphere somewhere between love and despair. With dual vocals, guitars, bass, drums, and keys, the three piece are Claire Birchall, Pange Niemoeller and James Saunders.

$25+bf presale / $30 at the door.
