Duke of George presents

Stumptown and Tommy ‘Boss’ Bosson & The Score

Stumptown will be starting off this double header evening with some classic jump blues. Jump Blues emerged as a genre of blues around the years of the Great Depression. Its short life played a significant role in the music we enjoy today. It is the missing link between Delta Blues and Rock ’n’ Roll and is best described as ‘blues on steroids’. Irreverent, loud, gutsy and infectious it was created for dancing.
In the blues world the older you are the more ‘street-credibility’ you get so on that basis these four old boys are legends. What is true, is they are having a ton of fun and as they say, “if you ain’t tappin’ your toes and shaking your booty by the end of the first song then someone should check your pulse.” Stumptown will have you falling in love with blues, all over again.

Followed by Tommy "Boss" Bosson & The Score. Tommy & the boys will be bringing some great Jump, Swing and Shuffle tunes from old Blues masters such as, Little Walter, Jimmy Rogers and B.B. King along with some of the modern masters like Mitch Kashmar, Kim Wilson and The Thunderbirds Fronted and Led By "Boss" on some tasty swinging lead  Harmonica and Vocals, coupled with the hot and sexy guitar work of the very talented Mr Glenn Carpenter, The Score will have you dancing either in your seat or on the dance floor whether you wanted to or not. Up-tempo jump or slow cry in your soup Blues, you just can't sit still with these guys, so bring your dancing shoes and let yourself go.

This is a show not to be missed.
