Winston Surfshirt 

Introducing Winston Surfshirt - the auditory equivalent of A Tribe Called Quest splitting spliffs with your parent's favourite band.

From Sydney's northern beaches, Winston Surfshirt have carved their way into the Australian music scene with their blissful new single "Be About You". Fresh from supporting RUFUS on their regional tour across the country, the band will be launching the single with an intimate one-off show at Newtown Social Club on 25th March.

One of Australia's most interesting bands, the six-piece was originally a solo project of singer/producer/rapper Winston Surfshirt and gradually evolved into a musical collective, adopting artists and producers from across the country - a factor largely responsible for their unmistakeable sound. Soulful, melodic and every bit unique, their latest offering "Be About You" blends artful hip-hop with dream-pop guitar and silky vocals, warranting the support of global premieres from triple j and Clash Magazine from the get go. Recent signees to tastemaker label Sweat It Out, local heroes Astral People and booking agency Niche Productions, there's no doubt that there are big tings to come for these guys.

From the beer-soaked, glitter-filled house party scene where they cut their teeth, to the biggest stages the Steel City has to offer, Raave Tapes sound "mixes murky garage riffs with squiggles of synthy-laden dance grooves." - Triple J After being earmarked as one to watch by the national tastemakers with an "Unearthed Spotlight" has led them to perform alongside The Gooch Palms, Skeggs, Cub Sport, Waax, Clowns, Ecca Vandal, The Bennies to name a few.

The Sea Gypsies

Central Coast band The Sea Gypsies are a spicy pot of Rock and Reggae blended finely to create invigorating music that makes you move like you've stuck in rhythmic trance. With 2 EP's down this bunch of Gypsies knows what notes will melt the hairs off your music craving spins.

Having played Festivals such as Lost Paradise, Mountain Sounds, Beyond the Valley, and gracing venues like The Northern (Byron Bay), Oxford Arts Factory (Sydney) and The Cambridge Hotel (Newcastle), the band has supported Australian and International greats such as Harts, Ash Grunwald, Alex Lloyd, Paul Kelly and The Beautiful Girls. Their latest single 'Lost & Found' showcases the bands talents through their multiple influences fused together and presented with a neatly tied bow on top. Touring the East Coast of Australia on multiple occasions, the Gypsies have gained quite the following.
