Stormhorse is comprised of a mixture of acclaimed local musicians from Adelaide, South Australia. They share a dedicated passion for music and are heavily influenced by genres that range from Blues and Soul to Rock and Funk. In addition to these influences there are also fragments of Jazz to be heard from Stormhorse, especially in their live performances. Several of the members are former jazz students of the Adelaide University Elder Conservatorium of music.  

The group is the brainchild of Adelaide Guitarist, Tyler Venter who also plays the role of songwriter, bandleader and producer within the group. Along with him is Alana Jagt, an accomplished singer/songwriter in her own right, who co-writes and fronts the group on lead vocals. On keyboards is Jack Strempel, on Bass Anthony Costanzo and on Drums Carlo Loiello. After playing in various groups in Adelaide and around Australia, the members of Stormhorse are well known to one another and have developed a strong rapport and a natural chemistry when they play together.
