Stereosonic, Australia's fastest growing festival, returns in 2009 with an all-star stellar lineup to tour the country at the start of summer.

This year's Stereosonic sees a star-studded line-up with further additions to be announced in the coming months. From Canadian mouse and all-round live festival favourite Deadmau5, to Sweden's seminal hit machine Axwell, Stereosonic this year presents its biggest lineup to date. Holland's Fedde Le Grand returns after a massive 40,000 people headline performance at Sensation to launch his new album Output and new show, whilst Axwell's fellow Swede John Dahlbck finally makes it to Australia after years of topping club charts with remixes and dancefloor anthems. From Italy, the kings of modern dance-punk and nu-rave The Bloody Beetroots return to Oz for a killer new show after a national sell-out Outrage tour in June this year.

Touted as the new Justice, be prepared to witness the chaos, mayhem and all-round madness that is taking Australia by storm. Fellow Ferrari fans The Crookers return to Stereosonic for their second year running, showing the nation why they are one of the buzz acts of 2009. Miss Kittin & The Hacker whos new album Two has been already hailed a classic, hits Stereosonic for their first live shows in years in Australia. Minimal master Marco Carola makes his eagerly awaited return to Australia showcasing his amazing sounds and technical brilliance that has made him a festival favourite the world over.

France brings us wonderkid Surkin, one of the youngest kids in the business whilst London's Chicane who's massive hits Saltwater and No Ordinary Morning perform on the main-stage. With a classic album Polyfolk Dance on the UK's legendary electronic/indie label Warp Records, Hudson Mohawke cuts it up and shows us exactly what all the fuss is about... German horror movie fan and electro wizard Zombie Nation presents his latest material including delights from his already cult classic Zombielicious album that has been getting a hammering from the likes of Sven Vath, Luciano, Richie Hawtin and more.

For the first time in Australia Stereosonic is proud to announce the performance of one of Germanys best exports: Alter Ego, that have been making techno and electronic dancefloor monsters for almost 15 years and who's live shows need to be seen to be believed. Slovenia's Umek joins the bill whilst Stereosonic debuts Australian performances for buzz acts Drop The Lime and Renaissance Man. Juan Kidd aka Jason Herd whos current hit Now Youre Gone stormed the charts recently showed he's a force to be reckoned with worldwide. Australias Cut Copy programs the band stage with supports from Tim Sweeney from the UK's cult DFA outfit, Grafton Primary, the UK's uber group Kidda, Canyons, Knightlife and Bag Raiders, with more to come. Los Angeles based celeb photographer-blogger The Cobra Snake joins us for the second year running to document the event picture stylee - Awesome. Local onelove faves Grant Smillie, Acid Jacks and the loving Andy Murphy return nationally to rock the socks for the locals, alongside further acts to be revealed over the coming months, so stay tuned.

HOW TO GET THERE

TRAIN
We encourage you all to take the train. Extended services from Bowen Hills to Ascot Station are in effect and return from event to Bowen Hills. Trains will run every 30 minutes from 10:30am til 5:30pm.

On OUTPHASE, special train services will run from Ascot Station to the City stopping at Fortitude Valley, Central and Roma Street Stations. Train services will depart Ascot station from 2030hrs. Last train will be at approximately 2230hrs.

The promoters encourage all patrons attending this event to check the departure times of all trains from Central Station to ensure they allow themselves are reasonable time to get the required connection.

BUS
Bus services are completely limited due to a Sunday. 30 buses will be departing the event from 6pm to Fortitude Valley - Bus Stop 216 - Anne and Gipps Street.

These buses will depart from Lancaster Road and travel to Fortitude Valley on an increased loop service from 8pm.

Last bus will leave Lancaster Rd at Eagle Farm Racecourse at approximately 2230hrs.

CAR
There is limited car parking off Lancaster Road via MacGill Avenue. Again, we encourage all patrons to take public transport. There will be a charge to use the car park provided.
