Marcus Davis & Jonny Haselam Present
SOME KIND OF WONDER
SATURDAY 18 AUGUST 2018
Doors Open 7pm
HOLY MOLY ESPRESSO
226 Leichhardt Street, Spring Hill QLD 4000
The duo will split the comedy lineup in an hour-long show, "Some Kind of Wonder", each bringing 30 minutes of brand new material, plus some solid gold hits from their finest material, specifically designed to tickle your cochlea, and delight your mind.
What they will give you is bottom-scraping cheap comedy right in the middle of the Brisbane CBD. Feeling cheap and don't know where to have a night out that won't hurt the wallet? Look no further than the Holy Moly Espresso Bar, the Spring Hill stage to "Some Kind of Wonder".
Marcus Davis is a wandering wonderer and a dreamer. An eventful childhood with plenty of healthy trauma left him with a love of words, language, travel and anxiety.
He has worked with large corporations, little start-ups that grew into big continue-alongs, the Vatican, as a teacher and as a barman.
As a voice-over artist, Marcus can be heard in the lifts of Tokyo.
He's a RAW Comedy QLD State Finalist, has opened for Aaron Pratt at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, appears regularly in comedy rooms in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sydney, and has been a guest multiple times on the 'Ain't It Rich' podcast.
Jonny Haselam is your typical gold coaster - hairy, pale, tertiary educated. Just your run-of-the-mill performer and all-round, non-threatening human male.
Jonny has spent the last 33 years mildly entertaining various sized groups of people, from a couple thousand at the Glitter Strip's various theme parks to Tim, a butcher.
It wasn't until his cataclysmic fusion of music and stand-up two years ago that Jonny tapped into a deep well of comedy, bumping the aforementioned adjective 'mildly' up to 'moderately.' He will medicate and ease your wild brutes with his mixture of music and comedy.
He's also a RAW Comedy QLD State Finalist.
Last year, the pair made their Bris Funny Fest debut theor collaboration with the show, "The August Gentlemen-tal".
